Aileen & Ronnie 10th October 2014
I was delighted to capture Aileen and Ronnie's wedding at The Burns Monument Centre in Kilmarnock although the weather gods seemed to be conspiring on the day. Sitting in my car before everyone started to arrive with rain bouncing off the windscreen, thunder and lightning all around, I wasn't hopeful we could make the most of the Kay Park and the Burns Monument courtyard.
I could see Donald Currie, The Scottish Wedding Piper sitting in his car too looking at the skies. Donald was a surprise gift from Aileen's daughter, Bonnie and Jonathan her son.
Eventually the rain subsided, turning to a drizzle for Ronnie and Danny, his best man, arriving in style in Ronnie's classic VW recovery vehicle that he's lovingly restored over the last 10 years. It looked amazing especially with all the names of his grandchildren and son beautifully sign written on the cab.
Not to be outdone, Aileen arrived with Bonnie in a lovely 1930's style Beauford Tourer.
The rain had stopped and blue skies appeared briefly after the service and we managed to get the photos outside before heading round to The Park Hotel.
It was a great day despite the weather and everyone was looking stunning with lots of smiling faces.
Here are some highlights from the day and congratulations again Mr. & Mrs. Devlin.
